ALOHA! PauHana caps off 2019 Acquaintance Party

It’s that time of the year again as the Supreme Student Council of PhilSCA-VAB threw the Acquaintance Party of 2019 on the evening of October 18 aimed in making confreres among the students.

Themed “Pa’u Hana” taken from a Hawaiian phrase which literally translates to “time to chill and relax and have some beer”, student revellers graced the event in Hawaiian outfits that echoed the famed summer beach parties of the tropical pacific islands.
The only take away: beer wasn’t allowed.
Games and girls in off shoulder dresses and rock bands dominated the event. Food stalls flanked the sides of the covered court and gimmick booths by the ILAS, AVT and AeroAT department amused our party-goers for the night. A pageant was also held to determine the two best dressed individuals of the night. Judged by Mr. and Ms. SCUAA 2018 Abraham Faicol and Melody Cabahug together with ILAS faculty member Mr. Nur Khan Umpa, Anshley Corpuz and Myrafel Estrada took home the award for the night’s best outfit.
Local VAB rock bands Chess Boxing, Bahay ni Bear, Parallel Universe and PhilSCA Battle of the Bands 2019 champions Bang Bros riveted the crowd with their loud and electrifying cover performances of popular arena anthems.
VAB Supreme Student Council President Sheena Grace Rodriguera commented, “Akala namin flop eh, akala namin walang masyado pupunta kaya nagulat kami na madami palang nagpunta sobrang nakaka-amazed”.

The event concluded with a heartfelt thank you from the hosts Seandale Vista and Arielle Romeo expressing their gratefulness for everyone who made the event possible.
